Who We Are

“To all who are weary, and need rest; to all who mourn and long for comfort; to all who fail and desire strength; to all who sin and need a Saviour, this church opens wide her doors with a welcome from Jesus Himself, the Friend of sinners.”

St Matthew’s Fulham is an evangelical parish church in the Church of England. At St Matthew’s, we believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that it is by grace, through faith, we have been saved. We believe that the Word of God is to be read, preached, taught, and obeyed. We seek to be a church that trusts and loves Jesus in all things as we serve the diverse community of South Fulham. Our worship style is informal, with an emphasis on teaching the Bible.

Our Team

  • William Rogers

    VICAR

Before becoming a vicar,  William spent 20 years in finance. He loves sports (he supports a rather inconsistent football team and an underachieving rugby team), predictable comedy, the weekend newspaper, and eating (at home, at restaurants, with friends – really anywhere)! He is married to Sharon, and they have three children.

  • Allie Brent

    CHILDREN’S AND YOUTH WORKER

Allie was raised just outside Nashville, Tennessee, in the States. She moved from Chicago and joined St. Matthew’s in the Autumn of 2022! Allie loves being with people, playing or watching sports (American football mostly – go Vols!), and the outdoors!

  • Stanley & Wally

    GUARD DOGS

Stanley and Wally are the guard dogs and it’s their job to keep the vicar in check! They take him for a walk each morning in South Park which helps him pray and meet other people in the parish.

Our Mission Partners

  • Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank

  • The Read Family
